"You are off to a good start! You write with a clear and direct approach to the material that helps facilitate reader comprehension and engagement. Certain paragraphs, however, don't maintain the same level of focus or analysis as others: the three paragraphs about whether or not Fortunato has actually done anything zigzag back and forth. Consider instead collapsing those three paragraphs into a single focused paragraph with a topic sentence that establishes what is being argued or proved in that section of the paper. On a related and more specific note, para. 3's final sentence might function better as the topic sentence by immediately establishing the reason for the description of the clothing (signposting).

Other tasks will be more lower-order-concern oriented. You will want to make sure all direct quotations are integrated into the text, including with proper punctuation, and do proofread to catch other minor errors (e.g., spelling of "Allan" and using quotation marks for short story titles)."
