For my physical education research project I decided to write about a topic that has been affecting too many children around the world This growing problem is called childhood obesity I picked this problem because I know that more and more kids everyday are turning obese When I was little I used to be extremely over weight and I was able to lose a lot of that weight Currently I am not fully in shape but Im not obese Since this topic has affected me and is affecting people currently I decided to learn about this topic so I can be aware of the risk I could put myself through so that I dont go through this ever againObese kids eating at McDonalds Being obese means to have too much body weight for a particular height from fat Childhood obesity is caused from eating too many calories and not getting enough physical exercise daily Now a days kids tend to watch a lot of television On the shows that kids watch there are various commercials advertising extremely fanning foods Such as McDonalds and their happy meal commercials These commercials make McDonalds seem like a happy fun place for kids which makes kids want to go there and eat and make their parents take them there But the commercial doesnt say anything about all the calories and fat in the food that harms the kids So kids start to get addicted to foods that have lots of calories because of the poor promotion for healthy foods With modern technology children spend more time Obesity over timesitting in a couch using or watching a piece of technology for hours instead of being outside exercising These two causes make kids gain weight and unable them to lose it There are various other reasons for why kids gain weight like lack of parental control Childhood obesity can lead
