What did you want for Christmas four years ago I was around the age often going on eleven and my siblings and I would make these lists ofevery single apparatus we ever wanted that year The lists were about afull page maybe even two on occasion As children we were never happywith what my siblings and I did obtain Always wanting more like a waterstarved plant we were insatiable People should be happy with what theyown and not constantly complain they want something more or somethingbetter As mankind advances in their years they keep inventing amultitude of new gadgets Even though getting every single new devicethat comes out spoils the fun of getting new itemsForemost on Christmas morning many children try and wake up as soon aspossible to open presents For us church came first and only aftercoming home could we open our presents As a person of a Russian-Orthodox community our Christmas is not on the same day as most of theworld Ours is on January seventh and eighth This does bear high andlow points My family is able to participate in after Christmas salesSadly school is not in our schedules because winter break does notextend after our ChristmasAnyway most of my Christmas mornings were usually boring and somber My parents usually got the kids and me regular presents The kind peoplekeep in their closet or the attic not knowing exactly why they do Oneyear my parents bought me a diary for Christmas At the time if aperson was caught with one people made fun of them endlessly I openedmy present and saw the pink camo diary with seven multicolored pens Inmy mind I wanted to throw a tantrum because I did not receive what Iwrote on the list Instead of acting selfish I threw a smile on my facethanked my parents for the awesome gift and pretended the rest of theday I was happy The present was nowhere on my Christmas
