Crystal's feedback:
"Overall, your word choices and phrasing were handled well, and the content has great clarity in phrasing--so good job in those areas! However, the content itself is very unfocused, to the point that it's not 100% clear what the goal/focus of your paper is beyond The Hate U Give movie/book broadly. The early paragraphs are heavy summary, the information does not smoothly flow between paragraphs, and throughout the text, you rely on a lot of generalities without supporting details/analysis about the book and movie. This lack of focus makes the purpose of the paper unclear. Are you reviewing the movie only? Comparing the book and movie? Evaluating/reviewing both? Reflecting on watching the movie and reading the book overall? If you can make your purpose clearer with a focused intro, thesis statement, clear progression through the body paragraphs, and a solid conclusion that wraps everything up, your paper will be stronger no matter what your intended focus. That might require rearranging the content accordingly (with less summary), so consider using a reverse outline to organize things once you really dial into your thesis. Finally, also make sure to address the punctuation and grammar errors throughout--while there weren't too many of either, run-on sentences particularly popped up repeatedly (e.g., the very first sentence needs a comma before "and"), and watch out for unnecessary POV changes (e.g., use of "you")."
