From the medieval times to the aftermath of World War II we have two different but extremely similar hero figures in history One was a youthful warrior who turned into a mature king known as Beowulf the other was what some would call a freak of nature that was later turned into a science experiment known as The Wolverine These two men are very brutal and merciless when it comes to combat From ripping limbs off with just raw strength to shredding their enemies into pieces it goes to show just how extreme their fight scenes can get Heroes are seen as selfless people who do whatever it takes to ensure justice or the well-being of innocent lives Beowulf and The Wolverine both fall under the category of what people consider a Hero Beowulf is a greatly admired individual In his youth he portrays all of the best values of the heroic culture In his old age he proves to be a wise and effective ruler The character development for Beowulf goes on from a young heroic warrior to growing into this strong leader Wolverine goes from being a very sickly and fragile child to maturing into a brute fearless and strong Hero Beowulf is a very boastful person he proudly proclaims his patrilineal heritage and physical strengths and Wolverine is also very boastful one of his famous quotes state Im Wolverine Im the best there is at what I do but what I do best isnt very nice Marvel Beowulf shares many similarities with Wolverine they both possess brute strength and are ruthless when it comes to a battle Beowulf does whatever is in his power to insure victory in a bout just like Wolverine would When enraged Wolverine and Beowulf will go all out in a fight they are truly a force to be reckoned withThe Wolverine is a tough anti-authority antihero that emerged in American popular culture after the Vietnam
