Jenn's feedback:
"You have done a great job providing specific details from each poem that support your opinion. You also have clearly communicated to the reader what you will be writing about by including a well-rounded introduction and conclusion. The formatting of the essay is also neat, helping improve readability. The main problems that are impacting reader comprehension are organization of the text and grammar. Some of the text is written in a confusing manner that leaves the reader with questions. A couple examples of this are "...and war more generally..." and "...a more general and straight-forward poem." The types of grammar errors that are present also lead to reader confusion. There are places where the words "is" and "was" are not properly used. There are also places where the article "the" is unnecessarily used. There are also places where a lack of punctuation leads to reader confusion. There are times that you do not put quotation marks around the title of the poem and specific words that you are trying to define. I suggest that you make sure that this paper goes through a round of proofreading to further polish it before submission."
