Windows and Linux operating systems came out around the same time-operating system is a graphical user interface through which the user can access programs run applications and change settings on the computer Even though Linux has always been free safer and runs a lot smoother than Windows Windows has always been the favorite and most widely used Operating system Why would new users choose to pay for a product that is in many ways inferior to its counterpart which has many positive reviews and above all it is freeLinux is almost completely different than Windows The way Linux is built the way it looks the way it operates both to the user and on the background is so different compared to Windows Linux gives the user more power to do with it as the user wishes for example personalize interface through which the user interacts with different programs or functions edit the programs themselves and not only the settings everything you can access and do in Linux can be edited and changed to your likingIt is not as easy as it sounds The user would have to learn to program in different programming languages such as Python and C to be able to make such changes Besides that when it comes to having support to fix or learn how to do something in Linux the user would have to either make a post on the Linux community forums or research a similar problem that someone else had and how they fixed it There is no technical support team or number that the user may call or depend on to fix or trouble shoot an issueWindows on the other hand has various technical support teams and companies willing to help the user or fix the problem for them for a small price of course They charge a small price for technical support after the user has already paid a bigger price for the license for
