Is there a significant difference between African Americans and Caucasian students high school dropout rates Yes there are many factors in which can be taken into consideration when analyzing two different ethnic groups for instance the demographics rural and urban areas in which the students attend school There are African American students in the United States who are middle class who attend prestigious high schools and Caucasian students who are less fortunate that attend regular high schools Not to imply that just because one student attends a better school than the other that there wont be any dropouts every high school in the United States has students drop out every year High schools in the United States deal with dropouts every year doesnt matter if its a charter private or public school they all deal with the same issue The local and state government tries to implement programs that help school officials decrease the dropout rate across the United States even with all the efforts still students are dropping out Mainly parents have a huge impact on students in there school career regarding to black and white students In society an average African American family mainly consists of one mother or one father raising at two kids by themselves living in urban area where crime gangs affect the family This could be a reason the students drops out of school not to mention the bullys peer pressure they face at school from a time to time basis In my research paper Ill be discussing where I got my data from how black and white students drop rates are significant Also how the data I analyzed impacts the real world what do the results mean and what is the next step in researching this paperThe type of analysis that was done is an unpaired t-test an unpaired t-test is any statistical hypothesis test in which the test statistic follows a Students t distribution if the
