MJ's feedback:
"Your essay is off to a good start, and shows some evidence from the play in order to demonstrate how the theme of conflict is explored. However, your thesis statement does not match the content in your essay. In your thesis, you say that Eddie's feelings for Catherine become obsessive, leading to conflict between Eddie and his wife. In your body paragraphs, though, you focus instead on Eddie's actions toward Rodolpho. Eddie's wife is barely mentioned. Your thesis statement should provide an argument that you then focus on throughout your essay. At present, there is little cohesion.
Your essay also does not have a conclusion. After you have revised your thesis and body paragraphs so that they have the same focus, be sure to write a conclusion that ties everything together.
In addition, your essay is missing citations, though you quote and paraphrase sections of the play. To avoid plagiarism, add in-text citations and a reference list in MLA style. Finally, keep an eye on grammar and tense -- for example, there is a sentence fragment on page 1 (the sentence that begins with "Despite the fact"), and you often switch back and forth between past and present tense. Consider having your project edited to help with some of these issues."
