Consumerism is a social and economic order that encourages the purchase of goods and services in ever-greater amounts Attention shoppers is about people using shopping as a personal self-esteem builder In the case of some it causes depression For others happiness Consumerism is the main reason that anyone shops Are we really shopping for happiness or a split second of satisfactionShopping means different things to different people In the case of some shopping brings happiness Others only feel sadness and alone Therefore in the eyes of some consumerism drives people to shop for happiness but in reality permanent happiness cant be bought There is happiness while purchasing the item but it will not lead to ultimate happinessConsumerism is the use of attractive men and women to make the item better than in reality They continually sucker us in with ads The ads use things and people to catch our attention and keep it We battle the judgments of ourselves and how happy we feel Wed rather spend money for a split second of happiness then a lifetime of smiles and happinessThe person that chases merchandise may be dissatisfied with their current items and feel compelled to acquire better items In the twenty first century the development of new items increases every day We are constantly trying to keep up with whats in The speed of development causes us to constantly buy new things to achieve happiness Ultimately leads to people trying to look better than what their budget does Ten years ago it hit me that shopping had become a highly visible part of the landscape and an important part of my life To sum up Attention shoppers it is about finding what really makes you happy Overall consumerism is a mark of a capitalistic society but that does not mean that it represents healthy behavior Are we really shopping for happiness or a split second of satisfaction
