It was a bright Saturday morning in London These were the kind of mornings the young boy preferred It made him feel optimistic in every way Saturday was his favourite day of week because he and his father went into town to pick up a few things After they finished their errands his father would take him to a local ice cream parlor as a treat for being well-behaved After they got their ice cream they would go to the park and sit down on a bench and watch the different animals and many different people go about their business He and his father would sit their and chat for what felt like hours As much as he loved spending his weekends like this his favourite part was the trip home On their way home they always passed an old blue box Its paint was peeling and the windows were cracked Most people that walked by it never look twice at it He didnt know why but young boy couldnt help but wonder if there was something more to that blue box It felt as though the box was Alive Alive but dying He started to suspect there was something special about it because he often caught his father looking at it fondly with misty eyes Today was the day he was going to ask his father what it was and with a tear in his voice his father saidIt was the home of an old friend A very old friend
