A CIRCULAR PATH The road repeats itself We begin young and nave eventually working our way up You finally make it to the top and then the day comes when the cycle repeats again The years go by friends are made and relationships fall apart Slowly I began my journey into self-discover I ran the with popular crowd in high school a running back on the football team an appearance at the big parties and part of the large group of people whom everyone seemed to want to be around I felt like I had made it in high school But as time goes on I finally began to see the shady side of the group We talk behind each others backs pre-judge people before talking to them gossip and find any way we can take advantage of each other I tended to stay away from this sort of approach There were a lot of facades and false impressionable linked with my friends Luckily I succeeded in staying my own person living the life I wouldnt trade for any other If I hadnt I wouldnt be me- I would be who I was told to be Early into my high school career many of my friends had already received multiple police charges like Kevin who has a DUI totaled a car and is on his 7th DUI I wasnt one to drop friends I just put a little distance between those I knew would pull me into trouble Being with this group put me into position where I was viewed upon by others as unpleasant obnoxious and ruthless We though we were better than the rest Some friends had similar interests and qualities these are the ones I stayed closer to Others however had low priority on school no conscience for trouble and eventually put me in bad situations It was a role of agitation to keep up with everything I had
