Part I Description and Analysis of the Business Situation A Introduction Traditionals is a fine clothing store for men and women I plan on offering fine premier clothing and accessories I will showcase casual wear for men and women alike I will also offer cocktail and formal attire for special occasions Traditionals will be a one stop-shopping trip because we make our customers over from head to toe We plan to offer a wide range of stock that can prepare customers for any event and gifts for many holiday occasions We hope to be successful in placing ourselves apart from the competition Traditionals will strive to give a personal touch to customers shopping experience At Traditionals we plan to go out of our way to make the customer feel at home B Self Analysis I am currently an employee of the Country Gentlemen of Greenville MS I have taken on many tasks over the past 3 years of employment My job duties include cashier sales person and gift wrapper I am responsible for marking clothing for in-store alterations filing invoices and pricing merchandise The Country Gentlemen recently had a fire and I played a major role in getting the store back up and running I feel this experience taught me very much about a business and how a certain tragedy can affect it I was instrumental in rebuilding the store from nothing because I participated in all aspects from filling out insurance forms to restocking I am currently attending Hinds Community College where I am taking business marketing and management classes I hope to graduate in the summer of 2003 with Associate Degree in Applied Science After Hinds I plan on attending the University of Mississippi where I plan to major in Fashion Merchandising I feel these credentials will set me in the right direction for opening and
