Have you ever considered the differences and similarities ofscientific laws and theories Scientific laws demonstratethings but they do not describe them while theories summarizea hypothesis A theory is valid as long as there is no evidencetodispute it Before we can differentiate the two we need tointerpret what they are implyingA scientific law tends to generalize observations made commonlyduring an experiment For example Newtons third law gravityNewton used this law to predictthe outcome of a dropped objectbut he could never explain why the object was affected withgravity Therefore there is no absolute proof or evidenceYes there are facts but those as we all know are indisputableobservations A law is an obvious andundeniable statement Alaw generally never requires more than a couple experiments toverify them because they seem obvious to the majority ofhumanityA scientific theory summarizes a hypothesis that has beensupported with repeated experiments Ifthere is no evidence todispute the theory it is valid ergo theories can bedisproven For example on June 30 1980 in Tunguska Siberiathere was an explosion equivalent to the detonation of 15million tons of TNT Hypothesis flew left and right about theexplosion It was theorized that the explosion was caused by anatural extraterrestrial phenomenon not by man This theory isnot a fact yes the event is recorded as a fact and the theoryis generally accepted to be true but this theory can be provenfalseIn conclusion scientific laws and theories are used constantlyin science While there are many similarities and differencesbetween the two a scientific law cannot be experimentallydisproven while a scientific theory is required tobechallenged and attempted to be disproven Even though a lawis a more developed than a theory it can still be disprovenbased on experimental procedures
