Angela's feedback:
"You provide a good analysis of empathy in the story, and you effectively differentiate the types of empathy Mariam experiences throughout the narrative. However, you should check on little details such as the book's title to ensure that you've got the information correct. Some aspects of the story should also be clarified for the reader. For example, the term "harami" should be defined so that there's no room for confusion about the word's meaning or Mariam's status. Run-on sentences such as the one that begins "They want to define" should be recast to improve the flow of your writing. On a related note, try to avoid constructing sentences where you use "they" in a singular manner. Instead of talking about "an individual" and then saying "they," you can recast such sentences to talk about "people" or "individuals." Commas and periods should appear before a closing quotation mark. When you have a parenthetical citation associated with a direct quote, the citation should be placed outside (after) the closing quotation mark. In these cases, the period follows after the citation when it appears at the end of a sentence."
