There comes a time in our lifetime where we question ourselves about the meaning of our existence and the purpose in which we were brought into this chaotic world In my situation this is a daily question and hopefully one day I can find the answer that I have been seeking for so long I grew up in the island known as Haiti and I was born and raised in Port-au-Prince the capital of the country Which pretty much mean where all chaotic rival and violence took place The things I have experienced in my life are the most intense and cruel life experience an eighteen year old can experience Being raised in a country like mine is tough especially for young adults like me When I was younger I often heard old folks in my neighborhood lecturing young adults about life I remember one older woman saying that life is what you make it and that life is nothing but a journey to happiness and that the journey is long but its worth taking each and every steps Another saying I often heard was that life has two roads a straight and a narrow road it is up to an individual to decide which road to take Little did I know about life then I lived with my parents my two siblings and our two dogs and a house up the hill We lived in a small town were my father was well known because he owned a pastry he worked very hard and always reach out to the community My mother stayed home and took care of the household while we go to school In our household education played a very important roll my dad was passionate about reading I can remember my dad taking me to book fairs every time he had the chance on the weekends
