Fairy tale elements in The three ugly sistersIn the fairy tale The three ugly sisters there have been used many fairy tale elements The first one is Once upon a time which shows us that the story we are reading is a fairy tale Another typical fairy tale element that has also been used in this fairy tale is the fairy tale numbers There has been used the numbers three and seven The number three describes how many siblings there are performing in the story there were three sisters It also describes how many days the three sisters are traveling and which day they get to the spring of beauty On the third day they arrived to the spring of beautyThe number seven describes how many dwarves the three sisters meet on the first day of their trip to the spring of beauty On the first day the three sisters She told them she was a dwarf and her and her six sisters The number seven is also made use of when the three sisters meet the seven dwarves again on the third day while they are standing next to the spring of beauty There has been used a companion In this fairy tale the companion is a horse who help the three ugly sisters find the spring of beauty This fairy tale also involve magic In the beginning of the fairy tale we are told that a witch curses the three ugly sisters Later in the story they take a sip of the water from the spring of beauty and end up looking like they did before the witch cursed them Another typical fairy tale element that have been used in this fairy tale is the good vs bad element The witch is the bad and the three ugly sisters are the good Their mother was killed by a witch and she turned the three sisters into ugly creatures The witch has killed
