Bridget's feedback:
"You've done a great job showing how archetypes can be used to explore another text (in this case, a film). Your use of specific examples is good, and organizing each discussion point into distinct paragraphs is helpful for the reader. The current order of those paragraphs is a little awkward, with the first body paragraph essentially starting from the middle/end of the stories and then moving around within the plot; you then introduce character elements (self-realization, attitudes toward family) and then return later to this with the discussion about tolerance, backbone, and forgiveness. This ends up feeling a little jumbled, and the reader can't quite grasp the bigger picture. Other organizations to consider would present each point chronologically, or group general story elements (character, plot, theme). Keep an eye on sentence boundaries, comma splices, and punctuation: your writing voice is dynamic, but those mechanical errors can disrupt your reader experience and clarity. I suggest clarifying you are using Perrault's version in the opening paragraph--and make sure you are using the plot elements from his story. (Is Cinderella's dress blue?) Related to this issue of source usage, I did not see an in-text citation for Sahms (2018)--make sure to indicate to your reader where this source has been used in your paper. Finally, the last sentence of your first paragraph gives your reader information on your method (which elements you will compare and contrast), but it does not exactly present a thesis--especially if your instructor wants an explicit thesis statement in that position, I suggest refining this."
