Marriage is the formal union of a man and a woman typically recognized by law by which they become husband and wife Nowadays we also have same-sex marriage or gay marriage where it is a marriage between two persons of the same biological sex or gender identity Gay marriage is against the law and against the beliefs of Christianity Religion is against this because it is against Gods commandments they say Some would say that it is immoral if they are married in the church But who are we to judge them That is how they feel that is what they like I know we should not conform to what they just want but just like the rest of us here in the world we are all humans When it comes to marriage the emotion we call love should always be present Love is the bond that links the two people together Love is love after all Love does not care if you are black white Christian Muslim straight gay or bi-sexual Gay marriage may be unnatural or unacceptable to others but it has now become an emerging norm What was taboo twenty years ago is now being accepted by society and legalised by some government bodies and is starting to be recognised by churches The decision to get married is a big step in someone elses life whether it is straight or gay There will be triumphs and frustrations but that is what partnership is all about The challenge may be even more profound for a gay couple as they have to struggle to be accepted by society as well as work to make their relationship work We live in a society where we are all expected to conform to the dictates of other peoples expectations of us Family values religious upbringing laws are examples of norms that each one of us has had to conform toMarriage is between two people any two
