When we think talk or read about gender the first thing that comes to our mind is either male or female We usually write what our gender is when we fill out an application or anything like that Our gender is a major aspect in every activity we do For example games jobs etc There are specific roles for each gender There are many ways that one can find another persons gender like through their appearance style in walking and the use of perfumes Most of the people in the world never thought about how they construct gender at what age or its constructs naturally If we ask a person this question randomly they might say its genetics When I was born my parents taught me to live according to the male gender because I was born with the genitalia of a male There is an Indian movie where the guy was forced to live as a hijraThe third gender due to his hormone problem also parents influence because they were poor There might be people living in the same situation in real life Gender is constructed from our birth which leads to social roles and behaviors with the influence of parents teachers and peers Judith Lorber the professor of sociology at Brooklyn College says that gender construction starts with the identification of genitalia Once a child is born and the genitalia is found then the parents will start treating that child with respect to hisher gender She mentions the reason for doing this that when they grow up they are chosen for different aspects of society on the basis of their talent sex and race According to Lorber Western societies have only two genders man and woman Some societies have three genders-men women and berdaches or hijras or xaniths 337 Hijras are people considered as neither male nor female but they are born either masculine or feminine Most hijras are males who dress
