Seven habits of highly effective people is a mind blowing novel leaving you with a captivating and refreshing experience all in one Stephan covey discusses lifes most typical aspects involving family friends goals short and long including self-fulfillment He gradually dissects the mind and the way we perceive these everyday aspects around us as well as our flaws Over all he finds ways to help people foresee their mistakes which can be small habits or actions being done subconsciously everyday The seven major habits in this book are all stepping stones to becoming a better person Being proactive can be challenging Especially for people who tend to procrastinate They find themselves setting different types of goals to improve something in their lives Some set goals during the week and wait the after the first couple of days and dont finish or start at all But in this book he teaches you not to procrastinate but only to get ahead You need to take imitative in your life dont be the last person to take the opportunity be the first to get ahead By getting ahead and being the first to take the opportunity you are opening doors for yourself and the people around you Take responsibility in the choices you make and the consequences Anything you do will have consequences and in life you must face them The opposite of being proactive is called being reactive Being reactive is simply reacting to situations that are going on at that time instead of a reactive person who has principles someone who has a plain of reason Such as in the book it talks about influences and concern A proactive person acts the influences and the reactive focus on the concern A new being means new values goals and characteristics Which means you must plan ahead and be prepares at all times Even if it means checking something more than once to be confidant
