A number of sentences are not adequately punctuated. For example, your thesis sentence is a run-on: it should be either broken up into two sentences or the clauses connected with a semicolon (after "deceased father"). Quotations should be introduced or otherwise integrated into a sentence. You may also want to include more direct quotations.
