Throughout time different heros have come and go Some heros were superheroes and some epic heros But what makes a hero A Hero is defined as a person admired for great acts of bravery and admired by others Many heros have similar characteristics but its their differences that really set them apart such as Beowulf and Percy Jackson Beowulf and Percy Jackson were able to fight their battles with the help of those who had their back Beowulf had an entire army behind him in his fight against Grendel and Percys friends were always there when he needed them the most But their major difference was that In Beowulfs final battle against the dragon his entire army fled for the woods when they saw the fire breathing dragon Percy Jacksons friends always had his back and would not dare bail their friend in his time of need Beowulf had a larger support group but Percys was stronger and more dedicated Even though they both had a group of people standing behind them they were very different as to that Beowulfs army did not stick with him when situations got sticky In nearly every epic tale one hears about a hero there is nearly always a trusty weapon to help bring in the victory In the case of Beowulf his trusty sword is Hrunting Hrunting is a mighty sword given to Beowulf and used in some of Beowulfs battles Percy also has a sword given to him by his father Poseidon His sword is disguised as a pen but when clicked it turns into a sword Both of these heros fight many epic battles using their trusty swords But in Beowulfs last battle against the dragon his mighty sword that has helped in in so many battles gives away to the scales of the dragon and snaps in half This leaves Beowulf without a weapon and protection Percys mighty sword never fails him and stays
