Cancer to me is the worst and best thing Cancer kills people weakenspeople destroys people yet forever changes people I was foreverchanged You hear so much about cancer Everyone questions when willthere be a cure I fully do believe there will a cure for cancer butwhen is something only God will know My grandpa had a cancer calledMultiple Myeloma It is a blood cancer that isnt as familiar as mostcancers I experienced one of the coolest things and that was a changein many relationships with God and the power of prayer It all started at my favorite place in the world Big Long Lake Mygrandparents had a cottage up there and spent almost every week up therein the summer My grandpa had so many passions and talents it isincredible This was the place where I watched the condition get worstbut the support get indescribably increasing I was given the news mygrandpa had cancer At that moment I felt my head stop working I wasspeechless I had so many questions but couldnt get them out All Iknow that came out was THATS MY BEST FRIEND As a ten year old Inever told people my grandpa was my best friend but really he was therefor me more than anyone I never had heard anything positive aboutcancer how was this different Well after reassurance that things weregoing to be fine I went on with my goofy self The next two years were nothing life changing or really hard he seemedno different It was the end of the second year that really had mestarting to worry He was sent to Indianapolis to be cared for there andI went down for the first time and he didnt even know my name It wasthe worst thing ever He was so sickly looking with skin like a ghostno hair eyes barely open and muscle-less appearance I couldnt goback in after I had left for a meal I sat in the large cold
