"This is off to a solid start, with a good sense of focus and specific, actionable goals. Some sentence boundary and punctuation errors disrupt flow and clarity, so keep an eye on commas and semicolons, and keep track of sentence length. Reading aloud can help get a feel for how a reader will encounter more complex sentences. I notice each paragraph covers both goals for improving writing mechanics (vocabulary, use of contractions) and goals for the writing process (such as the first sentence of paragraph two). Organizing each set of goals into their own paragraphs, with topic sentences, ensures more effective communication with the reader. I also suggest a concluding statement. For short pieces of writing, one sentence to wrap things up at the end of the second paragraph should do the trick."
