The French and Indian War set the table for what was to come The acts of the British towards thecolonists during the war lead the colonist to gain different beliefs about the British The colonists now believed that they were a superior group of people compared to the rude British At the conclusion of the French and Indian war with the colonist holding many differences from the British the British were indebt due to the war Thus they began to tax the colonist No more salutary neglect This is what spawned the fighting The Colonist - Cause and effect The colonists wanted to be everything the British were not The colonists believed in natural rights innate qualities A social contract where certain individuals were given power to govern the community If the ruler failed to act he could be removed They also believed in popular sovereignty the right for ordinary people to govern themselves However while this was allwell and good once the war was over a lot had not be accomplished before these principles would be enforced Once the war was over many of the ordinary people did not want to make a strong national government to enforces rules They had just broken away from a strong government the British It took a lot of persuading and negotiating the Bill of Rights to have the constitution ratified Civilians - they were affected during the war With the British blockade on the seacoast commerce was disrupted All exports and imports dropped Nearly everyone felt this Inflation rose The Native Americans- The Native Americans was the group hurt the most by the war The war provided an excuse for Americans to settle in Native American lands The Native Americans begin upset with the colonists joined the side of the British The American victory was a serious blow to the Native Americans This blow would come clear as the Americans began to settle westward The British -
