Angela's feedback:
"You do a good job of balancing your personal reflection on your name with your analysis of outside sources on the topic. However, consider revising your thesis statement so that it better reflects the entirety of your content (e.g., by mentioning that you’re going to be delving into pronunciation issues). No period should appear after the title of your essay, and you should default to consistently using double quotation marks instead of a mix of single and double quotation marks. When referencing letters as letters, they are typically either enclosed in quotation marks or italicized (e.g., the letter “d”). A phrase that you’re presenting should also feature quotation marks. Review is needed to ensure that exactly one space appears between words and between sentences. Terms such as “Bible,” “Catholic,” and “English” should all be capitalized."

Essays may be lightly modified for readability or to protect the anonymity of contributors, but we do not edit essay examples prior to publication. (And nope, we don't source our examples from our editing service! Check out our Privacy and Content Sharing policies for more information.)
