"You begin your response well with your discussion of hospitality in the Greek world and Odysseus's dependence on it during his journey home. You also provide some good examples of hospitality in action from the epic poem. However, you've packed a lot of information into your first paragraph, so it's a bit difficult to read through and digest everything properly. Consider breaking this single paragraph into two paragraphs: one that discusses the theme of hospitality and the Greek understanding of it and another one that starts in on the link between hospitality and Odysseus. The biggest issue in terms of writing conventions is the overuse and misuse of commas, which ultimately affects the flow of your statements. Note as well that typically parenthetical citations only include an author's last name. I'm guessing that you don't intend to include the last paragraph about Polyphemus, and I do think your response is fine without it. If you are going to include information on Polyphemus, the last paragraph needs more revision."
