Funeral For a Fly is about the story of a man who has had no remorse throughout his life but has come to feel guilt with the killing of a fly which is important because it makes the man reanalyze his life and discover that what he has done in the past was wrong Also the guilt finally makes him stop running from the law and wait for his punishment that he now knows he deserves The lessons of the story sink in throughout you cannot tell what the idea is within the first paragraph but it continues to build At first you dont feel any sort of remorse from the man and then you discover that he has a tremendous amount of pain that has been building You never discover exactly what the man has done but you can conclude that he has killed before and now knows the extent of his actionsFuneral For a Fly starts in the desert with a man The character in the story is all alone which is where the reader can conclude that he is either a loner or hiding out from something I was awakened by the stinging bite of a desert fly that shouldnt have bitten me A second later it was smashed between the skin of my forearm and that of my palm Unlucky fly I scraped it off my arm and watched it fall lifeless to the ground Looking up I noticed that the desert sky wasnt far from bringing on the new day and the scorching heat that would accompany it I stayed in my sleeping bag a few more minutes thinking about the flyBalinkoff 256 The story sets a scene of quiet and tranquility but when the man kills the fly it turns into a completely different agenda and makes the reader realize that there is something much deeper than
