There are four main fundamental causes of World War One which aremilitarism alliance imperialism and nationalism All of those hadimpacts on the start of World War One but the one that had the greatestimpact on the start on World War One is imperialism Imperialism causedfights between countries over land they want and when there is no landleft there will be tension among the various European countries and fearof war Imperialism may not be the only fundamental cause on World WarOne but it had the greatest impact on the start of the warImperialism is the biggest reason why World War One began Imperialismis the takeover of a territory by a stronger nation Doing this willshow that your country is strong and they will gain confidence by doingthis There will probably be a fight over that land and possibly asmall war between the two nations to see who gets it So there willalways be someone that gets what they want and someone that doesnt getwhat they want The country that loses will have a grudge with the othercountry Also as territory runs out for nations to conquer the moretension there will be and fear of war will rise An example that I havefor this is Germany and France They went to war twice against eachother in 1905 and 1911 over Morocco There was also territory in Balkansthat almost led to a war Since Germany and France went to war overMorocco they dont like each other which is shown by alliancesGermany is apart of the Triple Alliance while France is apart of theTriple EntenteThere were many fundamental causes of World War One but the one thathad the greatest impact is Imperialism It leads to fights overterritories and grudges between countries especially the loser
