The industrial Revolution was for long represented by its historians and by many of its students as a sudden and violent change that started an age of economic exploitation and social unrest The revolution scholars think began in the late eighteenth century Their was steam engines attached to new machines in the textile mills of central and northern england it led thereafter too the crowding of alot people into the slums of factory towns a situation that was worse then before This crowding saw many problems such as bad health and stressTheir the workers were forced by the many new capitalist to work long hours under rotten conditions As Toynbee who was a famous historian said The affects of the Industrial revolution prove that free competition may produce wealth without producing well-being in its workers See Toynbees article The Myth of Economic Success in the book The History of the english capitalist and colonist and there FactoriesThe revolution was suppose to make life easier for workers Although it didnt Going to work daily a job left little time for much else eventhough theyre was no other alternative to feed a family all in all it was a hard time for families to stay together inspiteof there new-found wealth Each person had their problems to be sure Which is the way its always been
