Why has ADHD increased by over 66 in the last decade There are more children diagnosed with ADHD than ever before why has this generation suddenly become more prone to ADHD Can ADHD be cured without medicine or can it be that ADHD isnt even a real illness but just a misunderstanding of an energetic child Is it that todays society would rather give their child medicine instead of giving them the adequate amount of free playtime they need to develop properly and burn off that energy that makes them seem to hyper and unfocused Some kids may truly have ADHD but do we really believe that 104 million children have this disorder that was never a problem before can it be that ADHD is over diagnosed by almost 78 million children So what is ADHD it is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and children with ADHD act without thinking are hyperactive and have trouble focusing They may understand whats expected of them but have trouble following through because they cant sit still pay attention or attend to details To be diagnosed with ADHD a child must have displayed symptoms for at least six months and those symptoms must have started prior to age five Some children may have a problem controlling themselves that even they themselves cant understand and those kids probably have ADHD but what about the kids who are just hyper because they cant play due to their location guardians technology and school system There is a study that was done and is now a book called Last Child in the Woods that argues that yes ADHD is created by the way you raise your children Richard Louv is the author of this book and his research has shown that parents are scared to let their children play outside and connect with nature they are afraid of strangers grabbing or hurting their children But recent studies have
