Good morning students today we are going to cover a very important subject I will like to ask you to pay close attention to what I am going to present today in lecture because its very important In today lecture we are going to discuss if addiction is a disease Some of you may ask yourself what kind of addiction I am talking about Well in this lecture I am going to cover any kind of addiction and show you that addiction is a disease For the first part of the lecture I will use the two most common addictions that people get addict to it I am talking about drug and alcohol because like a said there are a many other addiction but with these two I will show you the consequence of addiction You know that consuming alcohol or any other drugs could cause problem to your body But you know what those problems are and how your organs get affect Well today all of you will learn that addiction is not only a disease it is much more than that I could cause family separation destroy the emotion of a person separate an addict people from our society and the sad part of all this is losing their I will like to star by describing why people become addict There are a lot of things that could make people to consume drug or alcohol For example people may have personal problem that push them to drugs Other use it just for fun or because they want to explore the effect that any chemical could have in their body Most of the time young people like you guys consume substances that have a terrible effect in their brain and they become addict to it The way that addictions work is that people dont have control over it For example when I person become addict to cocaine they will increase the amount of this
