CAT ABUNDANCY Jason Jacobs wakes up every morning and spends the first two hours of his day changing litter boxes After hes done he spends the next two hours feeding his cats He comes into Petsmart once a week and buys food for all of his cats How many does he have Jason has fifty cats On this trip he buys about twenty cans of cat food for three days supply He lets them have run all over his house and outside The cats basically choose where they want to be and what they want to do How did he wind up with so many cats He takes in all the strays that come over He started with just five and somehow they let all their friends know that there was a man feeding them Before he even realized what was going on he had fifty cats About an hour after he leaves Bob Smith comes in He ends up buying about eight hundred dollars in cat food He tells the cashier that he has about three hundred cats Most of them are indoor cats He spends eight hundred dollars on cat food every two weeks Arizona does not have a law on how many cats one person can have According to Bill Jackson a veterinarian in Chandler there should be There is no reason for one person to have that many cats Its unhealthy for the cats and for the person Why would one person have that many cats Some of the reasons suggested were that its hard for them to communicate with people so they turn to animals And that it might even be kind of like a gathering thing They start getting cats and then they find it hard to stop Everyone likes to feel loved and needed and it could be hard for them to fit into society so when they find the cats love them
