Vision reality and attitude how would one define these three terms Are they all related in some way Vision is defined as the manner in which one sees or conceives of something Reality is defined as the quality or state of being actual or true Attitude is defined as a state of mind or a feeling By definition they do not seem to be related but in our everyday lives all three play an intertwining role This has always played a role in peoples lives and even in their writing They have shown in the recent events of the terrorist attack on September 11 2001 People envisioned going to a normal day of work but they were in for the worst day of their lives Because of this attack many victims of the tragedy have completely changed their attitude and outlook on life In the writings of John Edwards and Anne Bradstreet their visions somewhat differed from the reality which they lived in and which also affected their attitude towards the environment and people around them Jonathan Edwards was a very religious man who envisioned everything in life being based around the wrath of God He was a Puritan minister who preached against the way people lived and thought that they were all sinners In his story Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God he envisioned that people were worthless sinners by saying The God that holds you over the pit of Hell much as one holds a spider or some loathsome insect over the fire abhors you and is dreadfully provoked his wrath towards you burns like fire he looks upon as worthy of nothing else but to be cast into the fire he is of purer eyes than to bear to have you in his sight you are ten thousand times more abominable in his eyes than the most hateful venomous serpent is in oursp 56 Edwards also said There is
