Murder is and will always be unlawful but I think George killing Lennie in Of Mice and Men can be justified because he didnt have bad intentions when killing himThere are many positive reasons for killing Lennie and many negative ones too In my honest opinion I think George was right to shoot Lennie because either way Lennie was going to be killed one way or another George should not be held responsible for Lennies murder because he was looking out for his friend I could only imagine what was going through Georges head while he contemplating on what to do with Lennie in the woods I think his reasoning for shooting Lennie was because he was realizing that Lennie is dangerous and he cant always be there to keep an eye on him The consequences that Lennie would have suffered from Curley and the mob that he had with him would have brutally attacked and killed Lennie and George probably could not even bare to think about thatThere are many reasons that George should of shot him and many reasons he shouldnt of As George was sitting there contemplating on why he should shoot he was probably also thinking about the reasons why he shouldnt Lennie has a mind of a toddler when it comes to certain situations which means he cant really handle his emotions in proper manner He also doesnt mean harm by any means he just not aware of his strength and that hes capable of actually hurting something George also promised Lennies aunt that he would look after him and take care of him
