"I think that you are definitely off to a great start with your journal entry, and you seem to have a good grasp on the material from the text. However, some of the response is a bit choppy, and I think it could be improved by making use of more compound and complex sentence structures. You give a nice overview of the topic, but your explanations are a bit broad and could be improved by providing more quotes from the text to help explain how simplicity helps readers understand a piece of writing more easily. Although no style guide was specified, it appears that the journal was written to adhere to MLA, but there are a number of formatting issues in the reference, citation, and quotation that should be resolved before submitting the journal."
