"Fantastic analysis overall! You've especially done a lovely job with the structure--you smartly make it clear right away, after establishing some background, that you'll be analyzing how Laura develops awareness and matures over the course of the story. Then, you keep each body paragraph focused on one key area, which is great. However, in the paragraph about the hat, make sure empathy is clearly part of the topic sentence so that the paragraph focus is clear right away. Also, with your MLA citations, make sure to nix the commas between author and page number, and to ensure periods are properly placed around citations. Otherwise, your quotations are really well integrated, and you engage with them well in the analysis. Your transitioning between paragraphs, however, could be improved. The transitioning in the intro is a bit choppy as well, so consider trying to smooth things in that regard. Finally, some light cleanup is needed for grammar and punctuation. Overall, though, your paper is very strong!"
