"I am not sure what version of English you are using; “labour” and “towards” are British spellings. You should write “1950s” without an apostrophe. “The American’s” should be written as “the Americans’,” or you could write “America’s.” You should avoid capitalizing common nouns. Notice the misplaced comma in, “Foreign producers, now challenge ….” Instead of a dash before “leadership,” you should use a colon. If you do use a dash, it should be an em dash (—). You can make this with character code on a PC, or shift-option-dash on a Macintosh. You use a comma splice on page 2 (“Everyone seems eager …”); this is the use of a comma to separate what should be two sentences. Following that, you leave no space before citations. If you are writing in American English, punctuation should be inside quotation marks."
