Macbeth For kids Once upon a time on a hill of Scotland three witches come together It is a cold foggy day and they are talking about meeting with a man named Macbeth At the bottom of the hill in King Duncan of Scotlands castle a police officer tells King Duncan about the courageous and brave things Macbeth has been doing In another room Macbeth and his good friend Banquo are minding their own business when all of the sudden there is a poof of smoke and out come the three witches The witches tell Macbeth that he will become mayor of a town called Cawdor and later on he will even become king They tell Banquo that his sons and his sons sons and his sons sons sons will become king The witches leave and Macbeth and Banquo are astonished Later on in the day Macbeth meets with King Duncan who announces Macbeth as the new mayor of Cawdor Macbeth is amazed that the witches were right and sends a letter to his wife Mrs Macbeth right away telling her about everything that the witches said Mrs Macbeth receives the letter While she reads it she comes up with a plan to make sure that Macbeth will be king She plans to invite King Duncan for dinner and then kill him in his sleep Duncan says he wants to go the Macbeths castle Duncan arrives and he has no clue about what is going to happen later Later on in the evening Macbeth has second thoughts about killing the King Mrs Macbeth tells him not to worry and that if he is a real man he will kill Duncan Macbeth believes his wife and decides to do it While Duncan is sleeping Macbeth thinks he sees a sword floating in the air He takes the sword and it points towards King Duncans room Macbeth takes this as a sign
