In the book 1984 written by George Orwell in 1948 set in London where everyone was controlled by the BIG BROTHER and every citizen only knew that war is peace and freedom is slavery moreover George Orwell listed that people were divided into three parties the inner party outer party and proles The proles and the outer party shared a lot of things and differed in many other I will be discussing three major differences and similarities telescreens played a big role in the novel freedom between the two parties and how each of the parties were controlled by the big brother and lastly is the Bars and pubs with beers and different types of alcohol The outer party shared some similarities and differences but the telescreen was one of the biggest differences between them The outer party were watched and heard by the telescreen 247 and the outer party didnt have electricity no electricity during the day page1 on the other hand the proles werent watched by the telescreen nor given any attention but at any rate there was no telescreen in the room so basically the proles had more freedom than the outer party so the proles could live with a bit of freedom but lack of good living conditions alum rat holes puddles of filthy water and rabbits page 85 neither the outer party had a good living conditions but still better than the proles hallway smelt of boiled cabbage and old rug mats page1 So basically both parties were oppressed but at least the outer party wasnt in a war zone or bombs flying next to their heads and getting killed but on the other side the proles faced the bombs and used to walk peacefully but then suddenly booms and planes attack them steamer was a nickname which for some
