Bridget's feedback:
"You've brought together a lot of interesting details about Curie's life, and as you move forward, you can begin to think about the purpose of this essay, particularly how thesis-driven the presentation should be. The first step will be to check your prompt and any guidance from the assignment details: do the instructions ask you to argue a point (e.g., why was Marie Curie important? or similar) or take a position (Marie Curie is remembered today because...)? Or, perhaps, is the task to introduce Curie to an audience? (If so, look for clues about the audience in the prompt, such as how much they know and what they will need to be told.) Establishing purpose is the key to transforming a list of biographical details into an essay.
I notice the paragraphs gets shorter toward the end. Make sure your paragraphing is balanced across the entire paper; this enhances the reader's experience of the flow and structure, and also ensures consistence depth of discussion."
