As a child being with your grandparents is something you enjoy doing every once in a while Well for me I was at their house constantly because both of my parents worked full time Feeling safe and comforted was something I felt at my grandparents house because I was there so often almost more so than my own Throughout my early years of life I was picked up from school by my grandfather I loved riding in the truck with him without a worry in the world This later made me become my Grandparents little girl as well as my parents sweet angel My grandparents house made me feel safe and relaxed I was most comfortable there because it was my second home sweet homeMy grandparents were there to pick me up from preschool every day since my parents were so busy I would get dropped off by my father and picked up at two by my grandfather We would ride all the way home from Dawsonville back here to Gainesville I remember it like it was yesterday where every day my Grandpa would tickle me and make me laugh the entire car ride home It was a tradition to come to my second home and kick off my shoes have my grandpa make a joke about how they smelled terrible and then we would sit around and eat raw hot dogs Dont ask me why we just did and we loved it I looked forward to going home with my grandparents every day I loved it there just like I loved my own homeFriday nights were quite possibly my all-time favorite days On those special nights I would get to stay the night over at my grandparents house There was also a tradition for these nights too cooking steaks potatoes and anything else I could get my hands on As a kid you always want food its what makes you happy After dinner not
