Being challenged in life is inevitable being defeated is optional a quote by Roger Crawford When given a challenge theres no way that anybody could accomplish something without bumping into obstacles My challenge was to quit drinking sweet drinks It was difficult to overcome but it taught me to become more healthy There are many effects to drinking sugary drinks that causes death so Im glad I finally came to a realization to change my habitsDue to living in an area surrounded by fast food joints hanging out with friends at restaurants and having selective ingredients in the house to make a milkshake There was no way to quit drinking sweet drinks and so thats when I realized that I had a horrible addiction There were days where I refused to look at another sugary drink but most days I gave in to buy one The reasons for my wronging was because every corner I turned to there would be McDonalds Cafes Diners Jamba Juice Starbucks and more I blamed society for years now until I came to a realization that my wants overpowered my needs I didnt need to buy sweet drinks but then I blamed my society for having way too many restaurants around me thats why I wanted to buy them Drinking way too much sweet drinks can effect the brain teeth heart lungs bones kidneys digestive system and weight It will mess with our brains that will cause us to not gain new memories our teeth would rot will increase the chances to getting a kidney stone and lead to obesity Last but not least the heart is where it will be effected the most because that is where it can lead to high blood pressure heart diseases and diabetes Its odd that mainly kids and older adults are diagnosed with either diabetes or heart disease but obesity mostly hits teenagers So a little bit too much of a specific type
