My first experience hearing the music from the band Neeedtobreathe was with my friend who forced me to sit down and listen to them as soon as possible He was convinced I would love this group and he was right Composed of four men from South Carolina they have made their way in the music world by performing catchy songs in the alternative genre while dabbling a little in Christian rock Their latest album is entitled The Reckoning This album peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 Album Chart after it was released in September of 2011 The third song on the playlist holds the wonderful ability to remind me of nights spent with friends Drive All Night by Needtobreathe brings forth feelings of freedom the enjoyment of adolescence and the importance of friendship The feeling of freedom that this song overwhelms me with is because of the night I received a phone call telling me to be ready to go to Auburn The first couple weeks of college were hard for me because I was separated from my best friend who was 126 miles away so we decided to take a road trip The excitement set in right away as we scrambled to pack a bag and make sleeping arrangements This freedom seemed endless because not only were we driving three hours to surprise our friends but we also didnt have to ask our parents to approve of the trip At one part of the song Needtobreathe says I need somewhere I can drive all night out in to the darkness follow the headlights down I need to know where they can take me I gotta know if they can save me That line encompasses the feeling of our drive very well When we departed and when we arrived was totally up to us and for the first time in years I finally felt like I was an adult Drive All Night was
