Community involvement provides an environment in which we develop the skills and acquire the knowledge that can help us make a difference in our rapidly changing society It strives to provide us opportunities to make decisions and encouragement to satisfy our academic needs responsibly and effectively My contributions to the community are not huge but i did try to make a difference by helping sick patients in the hopital and contribution in red cross Firs of all i wants to talk about my experience in Riverdale Hospital It was a very different and interesting experience I was involved in therapeutic program which held every saturday The condition of this program was to inform patients about the program that was held in the auditorium of the hospital If any patient was interested i have to explain them the nature of the program and bring them down to the auditorium During the program i have to supervise the patients and make sure everything is going fine Also on special occassions like valentines christmas thanksgiving i helped patients in making arts and crafts It was just an relaxing exercise for them just to them a break from the gloomy and sad atmosphere of the hospital In addition i worked in the library of the hospital I assissted patients in using computers and searching specific books they wants to read I transfered my computer skills that i gained from school courses like communication technology and keyboarding to my volunteer work These all jobs i performed enhenced my life in a way that i saw the true picture of life Seeing sick and handicap patients sometimes made me cry but i learned passion by being in that atmosphere Those patients taught me that we should live happy in every situation of life we should bear the hard storms of life and we should accept every
