Volunteering at Fairview Ridges Hospital is a wonderful experience Providing aid to others I deeply care about and my surrounds is something I really enjoy doing I have always wanted to volunteer at the hospital ever since I found out that about the program in 8th grade Even though I wanted to apply early to volunteer at the hospital I was unable to do so because of the distance and transportation needed The medial field has always been an interest to me really long time After my family and I moved to a location closer to the hospital and I found out about the volunteer program at the hospital I was overjoyed The next day at school I went to the volunteer office at school and asked the teacher for the volunteer application for Fairview Ridges Hospital I was so much excited to do this program that I filled out the forms as soon as I got home and within three weeks I brought all the paper work back to the volunteering office at the hospital Anxiously waiting to be called for an interview from the volunteering office I received a call in May for an interview After attending the interview I was put on the schedule and begin volunteering at the hospital Within two volunteering training day I knew the hospital from front to back and really enjoyed transporting items throughout the hospital Just knowing how much a volunteer can mean to a whole hospital just touch my heart Volunteering at Fairview Ridges Hospital can brighten my future because this opportunity looks amazing on resumes for college medical school and jobs Every time I attend my shifts and get calls to transport items throughout the hospital I learn about different location of the hospital and how it functions Also this can benefit my future because I get to meet new people and communicate with them to learn about what they do
