I volunteer at the Health Trust nonprofit organization and help at the Food Basket where I prepared meals for drivers to deliver to clients houses I packed breads milks juices fruits hot meals and frozen meals into a basket that based on the number for each driver so they could recheck again when they came to get their basket Each driver has different round that had been set up for them every day Moreover some driver has to deliver up to 10 clients and some driver has a small round to deliver about 5 clients My supervisor at the Food Basket is Jeff He is the one who in charge the store to prepare everything for clients meals every day In addition we only prepare and pack meals from Monday to Friday at 9am to 11am Also the drivers take more times to deliver clients meals that depends on their round When I prepare and pack the foods I have to make sure that it has no damage or opened because sometimes the hot meals get opened by the time that drivers deliver to clients houses There is only two hours of working but I and other volunteers are so busy to get ready the meals for drivers One thing I saw about drivers most of them are about over fifty years old who have experienced or worked many years at the Health Trust organization Volunteering at the Food Basket is an interest activity to help prepare meals for seniors I enjoy the work and how people organize their own works in order to provide good meals to each client I also like to talk to the drivers most of them are older adults and very friendly Moreover everyone treats nicely to each other and makes me feel like we are belonging in a big family I talked to a woman her name is Jessie while she came to pick up her baskets She started
