Hey Did you get the new Jordans this weekend Oh are you talking about the Toronto Raptors 7s Of course I did How can I pass on such a beautiful and carefully crafted shoe When I took the shoes out the box I could smell the burnt rubber and sweat from the workers who put the shoes together It was like I was there in the steamy hot factory watching the soles and tongue bring the shoes to life The red stripes on the soles of the shoes are what catch your eyes They resemble the color of a fire truck rushing by on a hot summer day with no clouds in site Then extending along those stripes of fire is the bold and deep violet purple The black suede background help contrast the colors but oddly enough they fit like stars in the night sky Every few Saturdays Michael Jordan the retired Hall of Famer of the NBA would release a retro version of his shoe collection Growing up on the east side of Atlanta sneakers have always played a great role in my life Every time I picked up my new shoes I got the chance to meet new people Through the years I learned that first impressions are always important Meeting all the different people today can help you in the future People tend to judge some one based on their first impression well I often do Because I naturally make my assumptions about people from the first time meeting them I always try to make myself presentable and give a well mannered and lasting impression Although I want to stand out in a crowd I am just an Asian girl with long black hair wearing jeans and sneakers blending in Ever since grade school I was known as the Asian girl Growing up on the eastside of Atlanta I attended schools that were highly populated with African Americans
