"You pack a lot of information into your essay, and it is clear that you have a basic understanding of Napoleon's various accomplishments. But your essay would be stronger if you had a distinct thesis statement that covers (a) whether you think he is a hero or a tyrant and (b) why you hold this opinion. Then some of the factual content in your body paragraphs could be removed in favor of analysis where you explain to the reader how a given accomplishment from Napoleon makes him a hero rather than a tyrant. When you have a parenthetical citation at the end of a given statement, the period goes after the citation, not before it. Run-on sentences such as the one that begins "A native of" and sentence fragments such as the one that begins "Transforming him into" should be recast to improve the clarity and flow of your writing. There are a number of typos including the use of "reef" instead of "wreath." In terms of formatting, the underscore appears a few times in your text. This is odd since the underscore isn't typically used in academic writing. Maintaining a consistent format with your paragraphs by either skipping a line between all paragraphs or none of them would make your work look neater."
